What to Expect from WWDC 2018?

Next Monday, June 4th, another edition of WWDC (Worldwide Developers Conference) starts and fans' anxiety is already at its peak despite the fact that, this year, rumors and information leaks are very weak .

Revelations of software updates and, perhaps, presentations of surprises in the hardware segment are expected. For developers, it's time to look at the new market trends for next year, which they will likely start working on soon, and therefore they will need to start planning as soon as possible.

Let's see what we can gather from rumors about Apple's main operating systems:

iOS 12

Nothing indicates that the Apple company's mobile software will undergo a major change. iOS 12 is expected to focus on security and performance, in response to all the problems of the kind that occurred in its predecessor iOS 11, however, an image that began to circulate on the internet in recent days, if really is true, it gives us hope that there will be significant changes in the appearance of the next iOS.

Note that this image comes to us from the USA as we can see the AT&T operator in the corner of the terminal. Also note that, if it is real, we will have new features such as a long-awaited dark mode, a renewal of the control center and notifications, perhaps now they will finally be grouped by application and not just by date and time, always-screen on (always on), new animojis, fixes for known bugs and new security patches.

Another thing that draws attention to this image is the fact that it mentions a supposed iPhone SE 2, which makes me suspicious of its veracity, but at the same time, it rekindles the hope I have about an (un)likely iPhone SE 2 .

Rumors still point to the arrival of new features as well, such as, for example, more augmented reality (AR) applications and software aimed at the user's health, perhaps improvements in sleep monitoring. Apple can also talk about the recent purchase of the Texture app and its vision for the future of news curation, whose Noticias app could be made available in Portuguese. Parental control should also receive some attention, as one of the most discussed topics in recent times is the addiction of young people and children to smartphones.

An increase in application compatibility could also happen, after all, there has already been a response from third-party companies to make this a reality.Better integration of Shazam with other music applications it would also be very appropriate. Furthermore, it is expected that Animojis will appear in more applications, such as FaceTime, for example.
