Screen
The screen of a smartphone is one of the most important components and therefore Apple always strives to offer the best screens possible. Apple has been focusing on LCD in its screens and on several occasions there has been talk of a transition to OLED. 2017 was the year in which Apple considered this technology mature enough to be presented to the public, as the iPhone X was the first to integrate an OLED screen.
The iPhone X screen is 5.8 inches with a resolution of 2,436 x 1,125 pixels and a density of 458 pixels per inch. Furthermore, the screen occupies practically the entire front of the phone, with the exception of a small ?peninsula? (called notch) at the top, where the front camera and other sensors were inserted. The iPhone 8 and 8 Plus came with LCD screens that maintained the edges we have become accustomed to with previous generations, such as the iPhone 7, 6 or 6S. The iPhone 8 offers 4.7 inches with a resolution of 1,334 x 750 pixels and 326 dpi density, while the iPhone 8 Plus has 5.5 inches with a resolution of 1,920 x 1080 pixels and a density of 401 dpi.

Camera

In terms of cameras, there is no difference between these models in the number of megapixels, but rather in other aspects such as optical stabilization or the maximum aperture of the cameras, which are very important details for the quality of the photographs. The iPhone X also has a dual camera system (wide + telephoto) with 12 megapixels each. Furthermore, it has an optical image stabilizer to avoid blurry photos and videos, and its maximum aperture is f/1.8 for the wide-angle lens and f/2.4 for the telephoto lens. The iPhone 8 Plus replicates the characteristics of the X's cameras, but its maximum telephoto aperture remains at f/2.8. The iPhone 8 only has one lens on the back, also 12 megapixels, and its maximum aperture is f/1.8. Additionally, it has optical stabilization. As for the front cameras, they are exactly the same. The only difference lies in the iPhone X, as its front camera works together with a series of infrared sensors necessary for the Face ID technology that we will talk about later.

Secure unlocking system

Both the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus offer the Touch ID security system that was already present in previous generations. Thanks to this, it is possible to unlock the cell phone using our fingerprint, which also allows us to confirm payments through Apple Pay, access password-protected applications, etc.
In the case of the iPhone X, this feature is not present. Instead, it has a Face ID system. Thanks to this technology, it is possible to unlock your cell phone or confirm Apple Pay payments using your face, just by looking at the screen. Furthermore, thanks to this technology, Apple put an end to the Home button.

Battery and RAM

When it comes to the battery, the iPhone X has a capacity of 2,716 mAh, the iPhone 8 Plus has 2,691 and the iPhone 8 has 1,821. Finally, in terms of hardware differences, the iPhone X and iPhone 8 Plus have 3 GB of RAM, while the iPhone 8 has 2 GB.
As we can see, these three devices are quite similar in terms of characteristics and also in terms of their performance. It's true that the iPhone >
