Sustainable Development Goals and How We Can Change the World

Sustainable Development Goals and How We Can Change the World
on for important people; we publish it on Instagram quotes ; and appointing ourselves ambassadors of this beautiful but vague, sounding but simplistic idea.

But, after all, what does a ?better world? mean? Perhaps in one of those existential crises the question came to mind. The principle of wanting to achieve something is knowing what you want to achieve. Let us clarify then, because we reviewed the literature, did our research and equipped ourselves with the knowledge necessary to be pragmatic on this issue. A better world means a more sustainable world. (applause from the invisible audience)

(silence awkward) What is a more sustainable world? Alright, good question! Sustainability means that we use our resources intelligently to live a fulfilling life, without compromising the generations after us. It means, for example, that the use I give to the water I have is sufficient for all my needs, and does not negatively interfere with the water renewal cycle, meaning that all my descendants have the same access to water that I have today. . Sustainability, in a context where we use more and more resources, is probably the challenge of the century.

We follow the line of reasoning: how do we define a more sustainable world? The question is pertinent because there are so many and complex global challenges that having everything aligned on sustainability issues sounds utopian. Fortunately it isn't.

In 2015, world leaders agreed on 17 goals to achieve a more sustainable world, to be achieved by 2030. Basically they found 17 points that explain a vision of sustainability for our world. That is, they tell us how we should use our resources intelligently so that the next generations can also use them for their needs. These 17 goals are called Sustainable Development Goals, or Sustainable Development Goals in English (SDGs) - they aim to end poverty, combat inequalities and mitigate climate change. Discover below the areas that the SDGs cover:

Guided by the objectives, it is now up to all of us: governments, companies and citizens, to work together to build a better future for everyone. This is common work, which we must all do in small actions, every day. It's not about big revolutions, but small things that make a big difference.

Forall Phones is sustainable by nature. Our refurbished smartphones give new life to equipment that would otherwise be trash. We are mainly impacting SDGs 12 and 13, promoting more sustainable production and consumption and a reduction of greenhouse gases that go into the atmosphere. Since we began our mission of premium technology at affordable prices, we have avoided 4,495 kg of electronic waste and more than 1,956 tons of carbon dioxide.

The actions we suggest in the #GreenTips Newsletter will help you understand what you can do to ensure that SDGs are implemented. (haven't you subscribed to this Newsletter yet?
