When Apple announced that iOS 12 could be installed on at least the iPhone 5S (launched in 2013!!!) and that even on these it would improve the speed with which applications and some features can be accessed, I was curious to compare with current version iOS 11.4.
Forall Phones was kind enough to provide All Things Apple with two iPhone 5S so we could carry out the test, noting that the equipment provided worked perfectly. These iPhones were the perfect ones to test the new system, as they are the oldest model to support it.
A installation of the Public Beta of iOS 12 went without any problems, but I can no longer say the same about the iOS 12 experience. We know that they are beta versions and that they have many problems and bugs to be resolved that affected the video recording.
As you can see in the video, iOS 12 is slower most of the time, but considering that it is a new operating system in the development phase, I can't say it's bad, it just has a lot of rough edges for filing. Even so, it was still faster in some of the tests that were carried out.
We are waiting for the final version of iOS 12 with all features working correctly.
