Global warming. Deforestation. Pollution. Waste. The environmental problems that society currently faces are countless and increasingly relevant and difficult to solve. This true crisis has been motivating several societal entities to act: governments and supranational entities are establishing increasingly rigorous market regulations; non-governmental institutions are increasingly active and consumers are increasingly informed and selective. In this context, companies are also increasingly aware of their impact and trying to reduce it. It was in this context that companies began to emerge that not only think about their impact, but that incorporate within themselves the need to help solve some of these problems. One of them is Forall Phones, which emerged as a local response to a global environmental problem: e-waste (electronic waste).
What do we do at Forall Phones? Based on a circular economy model, we requalify non-sellable cell phones and offer them for sale at discounted prices, thus giving them a second life. However, the benefits of this model go far beyond more affordable prices, which allow quality technology to be brought to a wider audience. By perpetuating the practice of turning waste into viable, quality products, we are intrinsically avoiding electronic waste and avoiding the need to exploit resources for the production of new mobile phones. But is this our onlyco role in society?
We would like to believe not. We want to ensure that other agents involved with us (and beyond) are aware of their environmental impact and role in society and that they can do and be better than they are currently. We want to help solve the environmental problems and social crises that surround us. In short, our desire is to be a positive force in society, which involves an internal effort (such as always acting ethically and avoiding waste or pollution) and an external effort (such as starting and supporting sustainable initiatives or helping the planet and those who live in more precarious situations).
Ultimately, Forall Phones believes that all organizations should exist for a purpose and try to be increasingly sustainable. At an organizational level, we want sustainability to be part of our DNA and to be present and visible in everything we do ? this is the only way to be in constant symbiosis with the society around us. Using our skills, resources and expertise, we will do everything we can to help solve social and environmental problems while enabling more people to own quality devices, effectively democratizing access to technology!
